Chelicerata

The subphylum Chelicerata constitutes one of the two major living subdivisions of the phylum Arthropoda, alongside Mandibulata. Chelicerates include the sea spiders, horseshoe crabs, and arachnids, as well as a number of extinct lineages, such as the eurypterids and chasmataspidids.
