Syngnathidae

The Syngnathidae is a family of fish which includes seahorses, pipefishes, and seadragons. The family name comes from Ancient Greek σύν (sún), meaning "together", and γνάθος (gnáthos), meaning "jaw", referring to the fused jaw that the entire family have in common.
