Cladodontomorphi
Cladodont is the term for a common category of early Devonian shark known primarily for its "multi-cusped" tooth consisting of one long blade surrounded by many short, fork-like tines, designed to catch food that was swallowed whole, instead of being used to saw off chunks of meat like many modern sharks. The group may be treated as the superorder Cladodontomorphi. The skinny teeth would puncture and grasp the prey, keeping it from wriggling free.

Time the record covers
At least 10 million years on record.
The record covers at least 274.4 Mya to 264.28 Mya. No occurrence read is dated outside 283.3 Mya to 259.857 Mya.
6 occurrences of Cladodontomorphi on record, most of them in the Permian. Bar height is expected occurrences, not a count: each fossil is spread across the span it is dated to, so a tall narrow bar means tight dating and a low wide one means loose.
When
6 occurrences- Permian100%
These are dates about fossils, not the animal: the record can only begin after it arose and end before it died out, so either end may reach further. Shares are expected occurrences: a fossil dated to a span is counted partly in each period it straddles. More on what this infers.

The Paleobiology Database records 6 sites for Cladodontomorphi, and this reads all of them. The number is how many of those sites it was catalogued from too.
This is not a list of everything alive at the time. It is only what has come out of the same ground as this animal and been written down.
