Proterocameroceratidae

Proterocameroceratidae is an extinct family of nautiloids. They the first of the Endocerida. They began early in the Ordovician with Proendoceras or similar genus which had developed endocones, replacing the diaphragms of the ellesmerocerid ancestor.
